About the CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
IMA®’s globally recognized CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) program is a relevant assessment of advanced accounting and financial management knowledge in critical areas such as financial planning, analysis, control, and decision support. Steps to Becoming a CMA:
1- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
2- Fulfill two years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or management.
3- If the bachelor’s degree and professional experience both are not available, you can fulfill the education and experience requirements within 7 years after passing the exams.
4- Prepare for the CMA® program using certified course providers.
5- Pass both exams (Part 1 and Part 2).
